Stem cell culture supernatant therapy

What is STEM TAP therapy?

Stem cell culture supernatant is the supernatant of the solution used to culture and grow stem cells. Stem cell culture supernatant does not contain stem cells themselves, but contains more than 2,000 types of physiologically active substances, including nucleic acids, microRNA, peptides, amino acids, coenzymes, and proteins. It is believed that these components act both inside and outside the cells to produce effects similar to those of stem cell therapy, such as tissue repair, inflammation suppression, and cell activation.

What are exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny nano-sized sac-like structures secreted by cells that play an important role in intercellular communication. They contain signaling substances such as nucleic acids (microRNA and messenger RNA) and proteins, and it is believed that these components play an important role in promoting tissue repair, suppressing inflammation, and regulating the immune system by transmitting information to other cells.

Effects of stem cell culture supernatant

Stem cell culture supernatant is believed to have the following effects:

1.Anti-inflammatory effect

It promotes healing in inflamed areas and also reduces pain.

2.Wound healing effect

It repairs damaged cells and promotes faster wound healing.

3. Tissue and nerve repair effect

When tissues such as internal organs, muscles, and peripheral nerves are damaged, it promotes the repair of the affected area. Cell division is activated in the damaged tissue, increasing the tissue's regenerative ability and restoring function.

4.Immunomodulatory effect

It regulates immune function to a normal state to prevent allergies caused by abnormal immune responses.

5. Blood vessel regeneration/angiogenesis effect

When blood flow is interrupted due to arteriosclerosis or other reasons, the resumption of blood flow is promoted by the angiogenesis of collateral circulation.

6. Antioxidant effect

It removes active oxygen generated in the body and prevents cell aging and cancer.

7. Scavenging effect of activated oxygen

It helps to recover from fatigue and prevent lifestyle-related diseases.

8. Rejuvenation and beauty effects

By applying the tissue repair effect, it aims to prevent wrinkles and sagging and improve aging.

Difference from stem cell therapy

Stem cell supernatant therapy holds great promise as a new option in regenerative medicine. It is garnering attention as a treatment that can be started easily because it does not require cell collection and can be started on the same day.
On the other hand, if you are looking for a lasting effect or a direct regenerative effect from the cells themselves, stem cell therapy may be more suitable.

At our clinic, we propose the best treatment plan for each patient based on their needs and concerns.

Factors contained in stem cell culture supernatant

EGF (transforming growth factor)

A growth factor produced by various cells such as epithelial cells and endothelial cells, involved in regulating the migration and proliferation of mesenchymal cells, promoting the proliferation and regeneration of damaged tissue.

VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor)

It is a growth factor that plays an important role in angiogenesis, inducing cell division and differentiation, resulting in the formation of new blood vessels that branch off from existing blood vessels.

TGF-β (transforming growth factor)

Growth factors regulate cell proliferation, growth, differentiation and motility, and also play an important role in the reconstruction of cell tissues, wound healing, inflammation and immunity.

HGF (hepatocyte growth factor)

A growth factor that promotes proliferation of hepatocytes involved in protein synthesis and storage, carbohydrate conversion, cholesterol, detoxification, degeneration, and excretion of xenobiotics.

KGF (keratinocyte growth factor)

A mitogen that promotes angiogenesis and wound healing, and a growth factor that assists in the production of keratin, which is necessary for the formation of hair and skin.

IGF (insulin growth factor)

A growth factor that has a wide range of effects, including promoting cell proliferation and differentiation and protein assimilation, and is produced by growth hormone, which is secreted in large amounts during puberty.

PDGF (Platelet-derived Growth Factor)

A growth factor produced by various cells, including epithelial cells and endothelial cells, that is involved in regulating the migration and proliferation of mesenchymal cells, promoting the proliferation and regeneration of damaged tissue.

FGF (fibroblast growth factor)

It is a type of growth factor involved in angiogenesis and wound healing, and plays an important role in the proliferation and differentiation processes of a wide range of cells and tissues.

IL-7 (Interleukin 7)

It is one of the physiologically active substances that promotes cell proliferation and is an important regulatory factor for survival, proliferation, and maturation.

GM-CSF (granulocyte-monocyte colony-stimulating factor)

A hematopoietic growth factor that promotes cell survival and activation, induces differentiation into pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells, and functions as an immunoregulatory factor.

EPO (erythropoietin)

A growth factor that promotes the production of red blood cells and is produced primarily in the kidneys.

TSG-6 (anti-inflammatory humoral factor)

In addition to suppressing inflammation, this growth factor is attracting attention as a treatment for arteriosclerosis.

TPO (hematopoietic factor)

It is a hematopoietic factor involved in the proliferation and differentiation of platelet precursor cells, and is thought to be an important factor in the production of hematopoietic cells.

TIMP (MMP inhibitor)

It inhibits the breakdown of tissue collagen and elastin by MMP*, preventing fibrosis.

*MMP (matrix metalloproteinase) is a type of enzyme that breaks down proteins between cells, such as collagen, proteoglycan, and elastin. It is said that abnormal expression of MMP is involved in the development of various diseases, including cancer, inflammation, multiple sclerosis, and periodontal disease.

STEM TAP Therapy Process

1. Doctor's examination and counseling

If your suitability for stem cell culture supernatant therapy is confirmed during your consultation and you agree to the treatment, it can be performed on the day of your appointment.

2. Stem cell culture supernatant therapy (administration)

It will be administered in the most appropriate way depending on the treatment.

3. Follow-up

We will conduct examinations 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after administration of stem cell culture supernatant to check whether the treatment is safe and effective. If necessary, we will conduct tests using various testing equipment.
