Blood purification therapy
What is blood purification therapy (apheresis)?

It is known that waste products accumulated in the body can cause various diseases. Blood purification therapy is a preventive medical treatment that uses a blood filtration device to "directly" remove these waste products from the blood.
The blood is removed from the body, waste products are separated and removed using a special "filtration membrane," and the purified blood is then returned to the body in order to improve health.
Who is eligible for treatment?
At our hospital, we offer preventive blood purification therapy at our own expense for the following conditions, primarily as a new option for "lifestyle-related diseases for which standard treatments are not effective enough."

Those who have had a history of cerebral infarction or myocardial infarction despite receiving standard treatment
Those who have normal blood test results and blood pressure, but have arteriosclerotic changes and are not suitable for medication but would like to take proactive measures
Others: Atopic diseases (intractable), sudden hearing loss, age-related macular degeneration
Expected effects of blood purification therapy
Direct removal of bad cholesterol and neutral fats that cause arteriosclerosis
Prevents the formation of blood clots and plaque
Improve vascular endothelial function
Improved blood flow, etc.
Treatment process
1. Doctor's examination and counseling
Some people cannot undergo blood purification therapy, so a doctor will examine them.
In order to carry out treatment safely, additional tests (blood tests, X-rays, electrocardiograms, etc.) may be required depending on the situation.
2. Blood purification therapy *About 20 to 30 minutes
Treatment is carried out in a private room to respect the patient's privacy.

Blood purification therapy
Although a certain degree of effect can be seen with just one treatment, repeated treatment reduces the viscosity of the blood (making it thinner), and increases the effectiveness of preventing blood from adhering to arterial walls. For this reason, regular blood purification is recommended for chronic diseases such as lifestyle-related diseases.
